A well put together blue and tan puppy with lots of promise. Super body lines and good for type. Nice straight front with good shoulder placement, lovely topline and tail set. Well angulated rear which allowed free movement and plenty of drive around the ring. Coat ok but yet to reach its best. Her head needs to develop a little – I am sure this will come as she matures.

A more mature pup with plenty of bone. Lovely typical otter head, ears close to cheek with very little stop. Good straight front stood on nice small feet. Easily spanned with correct loin. Shown in a good double coat with thick pelt. Moved out ok.

A nice typey puppy, with racy lines and up on her toes. She has a typical puppy head with correct ear placement and correct bite. Correct double coat that is just coming in to its best. Good straight front, well placed shoulders. Perhaps could do with a little more muscle to give more definition to rear angulation, however as she is a puppy there is plenty of time. Moved out well for and aft, keeping a level topline. Pleased to award her BPB.

Another appealing puppy shown in good coat. Decent head, with typical border expression and correct bite. Good front with well laid back shoulders, ribs carried well back into a strong loin. Easily spanned with a good tail set. However, she didn’t seem to be enjoying her day as she lacked confidence on the move.

A lovely bitch of excellent make up and confirmation, just right for bone and muscle. She has a lovely feminine head of the correct proportions, well filled under the eye, plenty of strength in her jaw, small ears laid close to her cheek and a correct scissor bite. Straight narrow front with well angulated shoulders and stood on small, neat cat-like feet. She is easily spanned and moves well fore and aft. She stood out in this class with self-assured confidence and was in real contention for top honours.

A nice grizzle border who was a little short of coat today. Very typey, well put together and not overdone in anyway. Typical border head, good expression and correct ear placement. Good length of neck and clean shoulders. Straight front, correct rib and loin. Moved out well.

Lovely grizzle bitch from a kennel that has lots of quality. She is well put together of excellent type and make up, not overdone in anyway. She has a strong feminine otter head of correct proportions, nicely placed ears and correct bite. This bitch has a lovely reach of neck and correct shoulders, nice rib placement and a well angulated rear. She has a top line that stayed level on the move with a well set on carrot like tail. Shown in good harsh double coat Considered her as a contender in the challenge but was unlucky to meet my CC and RCC winners today.

The same comments regarding the first place can be applied to this girl. She is a slightly racier bitch shown in excellent condition and harsh double coat and pelt. She has a lovely straight front, neat small feet and is easily spanned. She has a strong loin, level topline and correct tail set. Plenty of rear angulation which allows to move with drive around the ring.

A typey border shown in good condition, not exaggerated in anyway. She has anice otter head with well-placed ears, dark eye and keen expression. Good straight front, nice bodylines and easily spanned. Strong loin, level topline, correct tail set and good rear assembly. Shown in excellent harsh double coat

A blue and tan bitch of similar type and make up. More up on the leg than 1st place. She has a typical border head with dark expression and keen eye. Narrow in front and stood on tight feet. Easily spanned with good topline and tail set. Shown in harsh double coat, with good pelt. Moved out well

A well put together grizzle bitch, shown in good condition. Typical border terrier head, with dark eye, keen expression and ear placement. Good reach of neck flowing into well placed shoulders. A racier girl than 1st with a narrow front and stood on small tight feet. She has a good length of back, strong loin, very good rear angulation which allowed her to move well around the ring. Short of coat today

A very nice border bitch of excellent type and confirmation. She has a lovely otter head of correct proportions, strong and yet still feminine with large teeth set in a strong jaw. She has a good reach of neck which leads into smooth shoulder placement. Lovely straight front of correct bone, standing on neat cat-like feet. Ribs carried well back leading into a strong loin. Level topline on the move with tail straight off her back. Excellent harsh double coat and pliable pelt. Moved out well.

Another nice type bitch, racier than 1st place. She has a typical border head with a typical border expression and dark eye. She has a good length of neck, correct shoulder placement and a straight front. She is narrow throughout and easy to span. Good topline and well set tail. Shown in a lovely double coat. Moved out well

A typey bitch shown in full harsh double coat which made her look more robust than she actually is. She has a good head of correct proportions, plenty strength in her foreface with a typical border expression. Good reach of neck, smooth shoulder and straight front. I would have liked to see more compact feet to finish off the picture. Easily spanned. Good rear angulation and kept her topline level on the move

Another nice border terrier bitch, shown in smart order. She has a feminine head but does not have the strength of foreface of 1st place. Good front, nice tight cat like feet. Good shoulders, strong loin and topline. Moved well. Short of coat today

A smart looking blue and tan girl that caught my eye from the ring side and having gone over her, she didn’t disappoint. She is appealing to look at and is without any exaggeration. She has a excellent otter head of correct proportions, well filled under the eye and a strong jaw, good scissor bite and clean white teeth. She has a lovely reach of neck which flows into smooth shoulders, a straight front, nice tidy feet with thick pad and is correct for bone. She is pleasing in profile and is balanced throughout. She has good muscle, correct bend of stifle and good rear angulation which allows her to cover the ground with ease. I considered her for top honours but was unsettled in the bitch challenge. Pleased to award her RBCC.

Another lovely girl that I have admired from the ring side and was very pleased to get my hands on her. She has a lovely feminine head, with keen expression and dark eye. Good scissor bite and strong jaw. Good front, narrow throughout, stood on tight neat feet, Good reach of neck, smooth shoulders, level topline and correct rib. She is the ultimate show girl, and she takes your eye on the move. I was really torn between the first and second places today, unfortunately preferred the coat of the 1st place today.

Another bitch that I have admired from the ring side, she caught my eye as she entered the ring. A lovely grizzle bitch, excellent confirmation and shape with lots of breed type. She has the best of border heads with very little stop, well filled under the eye with a keen varminty expression. She has correctly placed neat ears and an excellent scissor bite, clean teeth and a good sized nose with large nostrils, a winter nose but this didn’t detract at all from the overall picture of a quality border. A bitch with a good reach of neck, well laid, smooth shoulder placement. Her front is straight, narrow and correct for bone. She stood on small, neat feet with thick pads. She carries her ribs well back which run into strong loin, with a good tail set, straight off her back. Good rear angulation and bend of stifle which meant that she is able to cover the ground effortlessly and with confidence. Very good harsh, double coat just coming into its best with a pliable pelt. She was obviously enjoying her day and was handled expertly and with confidence to BCC and BIS.

She has good ear placement, a correct scissor bite and clean white teeth. Good length of neck, smooth shoulders, good rib & loin and plenty of bone. She has a narrow, straight front, neat feet and thick pads. Level topline with a well set on tail and good rear angulation. Moved well.

A well balanced bitch who is well put together and in excellent condition. Good otter head of correct proportion, with dark eye, keen expression and correctly placed ears. Good length of neck, smooth shoulder and correct for rib and loin. Good front of correct bone and stood on small tight feet with thick pads. Level topline with a nice carrot tail straight off the back. Correct angulation, which meant she moved with drive around the ring. Shown in good, harsh double coat.

Another quality border with plenty of breed type. Lovely head, strong yet feminine with very little stop. Well placed ears close to the cheek, dark eye and keen varminty expression. Nice reach of neck moving into correct shoulder placement, good length of back, level topline and tail straight off the back. Good harsh double jacket and pelt. Well angulated rear construction. Moved ok.

A grizzle and tan puppy shown in a dense harsh double coat with a decent pelt. Very narrow throughout and up on the leg. Head ok and needs to mature; however, he has plenty of time to settle into himself. Good scissor bite. Good shoulder, rib and loin with plenty of muscle. Good level topline and tail set with nice carrot tail. More immature than second place but behaved well and with confidence for one so young. Moved well.

A more robust and more mature type grizzle puppy with a good masculine otter head and keen expression. Ears close to the cheek, dark eye and keen expression. Good front, nice tight feet. Shown in full double coat. Unfortunately, today he was very unsettled particularly on the move.

A very confident showman who took my eye as he entered the ring. At just 9mth he has a strong jaw & correct scissor bite; his skull needs to develop but I am sure that this will come as he matures. He is lovely in front, narrow with lovely tight cat like feet. Correct shoulders with a nice reach of neck. He has plenty of muscle, correct rib & loin and excellent tail set with a nice carrot like tail. In profile, he is a picture, balanced and oozing quality. Shown in a super harsh double coat. He has the correct rear angulation and moves with drive and confidence around the ring. Pleased to award him BPIS.

Grizzle and tan puppy dog shown in a harsh double coat of correct texture. Nice head of correct proportions, strong muzzle with a correct bite. He is of the correct size with a narrow front. Decent shoulders, ribs carried well back and a strong loin. Moved out well.

Another eye-catching and quality dog. Excellent otter head, correctly proportioned with a broad muzzle, plenty of strength under the eye which ensures a typical border expression. Nice for length of neck, shoulder and rib. He is well muscled with firm top line and strong and well angulated rear. Shown in harsh double coat harsh, with a thick, loose and pliable pelt, he is easily spanned. Moved confidently with reach and drive around the ring.

A grizzle and tan dog that is not overdone. He has a lovely otter head of correct proportions with a strong muzzle, dark eye, keen expression and ears falling close to his cheeks. He is narrow in front and stands on correct small feet. Good length of neck flowing into correct shoulders. Good topline which he kept level on the move with an ok tail set. Moved out ok.

An eye catching grizzle border dog, another who I have observed from outside the ring. He has a workman-like appearance and a strong otter head with keen dark eye, correct well set ears, and a strong muzzle with a good scissor bite. Narrow throughout, lovely front, thick pads and tight feet. Good reach of neck, excellent shoulder placement, level top-line and correct tail set with a carroty tail held correctly on the move. He is of the correct size and easily spanned. He moved well fore and aft. He has a thick, loose pelt and I suspect a super double jacket when it comes through.

Another workman like dog of the correct size with a lovely head and expression. He has a flat skull with very little stop and strong muzzle with a correct bite. Good shoulder angulation, with a straight front and neat feet. Correct length of back, level topline, good rib and loin, good for bone and muscle. Well angulated rear which ensured that he covered the ground well and with confidence.

Another young puppy with a typical border head and expression. Straight front, decent shoulders, rib and loin with good length of back. Feet a little untidy today which just spoilt the overall picture. Moved out ok fore and aft.

Stood alone in this class but that doesn’t detract from his placing in anyway, there is a lot to like about him. A fit grizzle and tan dog shown in hard condition with a correctly proportioned otter head, strong muzzle, correct scissor bite and big clean teeth. He is narrow throughout, with straight front legs, small feet and thick pads. He has the correct amount of bone, with ribs laid well back and a strong loin. He has plenty of muscle in his hind quarters and good rear angulation. Moved well.

A nice typey border terrier that has an attractive otter head of the correct proportions, keen expression, short muzzle with good dentition and plenty of strength under the eye. Nice in profile and narrow throughout and easily spanned. Shown in a harsh, tight double jacket with a thick and flexible pelt. Decent rear angulation meant that he could move around the ring with ease.

A nice blue and tan dog, who has a masculine head, broad skull, dark eye and good ear set. Strong muzzle, housing a lovely set of big teeth. Would prefer a few more face furnishings to finish the picture. He is narrow in front with neat cat like feet, ribs carried well back, good length of body, strong loin and a well angulated rear. Shown in hard condition and in good double coat he is a picture in profile. Moves with confidence and shows well

A blue and tan dog with plenty of breed type. Lovely otter head correctly proportioned with keen eye and expression with correct ear size set close to the cheek. Broad skull with short muzzle and plenty of strength under the eye. Good narrow front assembly, with correct reach of neck and shoulder placement and racy hind quarters. He has a super harsh double blue and tan coat with a flexible pelt. Correct for bone and muscle and moved very soundly fore and aft and presented a picture in profile

A typey grizzle dog who is balanced in profile with good reach of neck, decent shoulders, strong loin and good tail set. Good head of correct proportion with keen eye and ear, strong muzzle and scissor bite. Good harsh double jacket and nice thick pelt. Moves ok when viewed from the side but not quite as true fore and aft as 1st place

A lovely grizzle dog that has caught my eye at a number of shows and today he did not disappoint as I went over him. He is very balanced and is a picture in profile. He has a super otter head of correct proportions, flat skull with very little stop, dark eye, and strong muzzle that makes a super varminty expression. His bite is a correct scissor bite, and he has big strong white teeth. Narrow throughout, with good bone and tight cat-like feet. Excellent shoulder placement, ribs carried well back and strong loin. Good rear angulation with a level topline and a correct tail set. Showed in an excellent harsh double jacket with a thick pelt. Moved with confidence and drive. Pleased to award him RDCC

Another quality grizzle border presented in fit hard condition. Really unlucky to meet 1st today. Lovely otter head with typical border expression, keen dark eye, plenty of strength of fore face, broad skull and muzzle and correct scissor bite. Lovely front with correct reach of neck flowing into smooth shoulders and nice length of back which made a balanced profile. Nice length of rib and strong loin. Dense harsh double coat and well-shaped carrot tail. Good topline which he maintained on the move. Correct angulation front and rear, moving freely.

   A very pleasing workman like blue/tan dog who has plenty of breed type and who owned the ring. He has an excellent otter head, broad in skull and strong muzzle with big white teeth and loads of strength under the eyes. Typical border expression with dark keen eye and strong muzzle with big clean teeth. Narrow in front, straight in leg and stood on small, neat cat-like feet. Lovely reach of neck which flows into excellent shoulders and a correct level topline with his tail set straight off the back. Correct shaped rib, strong loin with the just the right amount of bone, he has a lovely underline which finishes off the whole picture in profile. He has very good rear angulation which allowed him to cover the ground easily with drive. Moved well, fore and aft. Excellent harsh blue and tan double jacket with a thick and pliable pelt covering an easily spanned body. Very pleased to award him DCC.

Another workman like grizzle border dog who has a very masculine head of correct proportions. He has a broad skull, strong muzzle, plenty under the eye and a keen expression that is typical of the breed. Not quite as narrow in the front as 1st but has good straight legs, and neat feet with thick pads. He has a good reach of neck and correct shoulder. With a good length of back, a level topline, good rib, strong, firm loin he is easily spannable. He was presented in fit & hard condition, excellent harsh double coat. Moved around the ring with confidence

A quality blue and tan dog with loads of breed type, shown in excellent condition and looking youthful despite his age. He has a super otter head and expression with a strong muzzle and keen dark eye. Of correct size, good bone and with straight front legs and small feet with thick padded feet. Very good in rib, strong loin, good topline and short well set tail. Shown in an excellent harsh blue topcoat with thick undercoat and pelt. Excellent racy well angulated hindquarters and very sound on the move. Pleased to award him BVIS
